Standing ankle deep in the warm Fijian water, the world seemed to pause. The ocean waves subsided giving way to a flat, inviting sea. The sun settled in behind the clouds and cast it's last few rays across the sky, painting the wispy clouds in a vibrant display of color. I remember exhaling and holding my breath briefly as I pressed the shutter to capture this image of pure tranquility.

Today, this image hangs in the office and helps me find peace when life gets stressful. I simply take a deep breath and stare into that sunset and imagine myself in the dinghy as I momentarily "Escape" and clear my head. It helps me be the best parent, spouse, brother, friend, photographer, business owner, and person I can be.

Float vs Euro Mount Explained
Both of our aluminum mounting options have a modern feel and look "frame-less" from the front. There is no need for additional framing, they arrive in your hands, ready to hang.

  EURO MOUNT

Euro Mount: This option is frame-less when viewed from straight on but has a frame to edge on the back that is visible from the side that is about 1 1/2 inches thick. We use a double metal frame for added support. Default euro mount color is black but is available in silver as well. Please let us know if you would like the silver option. Euro mounts are usually recommended for larger images but they work well for all sizes. In our galleries, most pieces 12 x 18 and above are displayed with euro mounts.

FLOAT MOUNT

Float Mount: This option looks like it is literally "floating" about a half inch off of the wall. There is a hanger on the back which you can use to hang the image with a nail or picture hanger. Float mounts are usually recommended for smaller sized images but can also work well for most sizes. At our galleries, most pieces 11x14 and smaller are shown with float mounts.

The vibrant look comes from ambient light reflecting off of the aluminum and the ink at the same time which results in the most luminescent art you will ever see. The images are so brilliant that people often ask if there are lights behind them! To top it off, the dye-infused aluminum process has unprecedented archival characteristics that will enable your piece to be radiant for the next 150 years.
Both options look amazing, let us know if you have any questions. We would love to help!
