Photographing Humpback whales is always an amazing experience, but anytime you can see something that is a little different from the norm it is always a plus. During this encounter, we spent a lot of time photographing the mom and calf and didn't realize that the male escort started getting restless. He began aggressively swimming close to us, trying to show us how large he was and then he began blowing bubbles in a straight line in front of us like he was trying to make a bubble wall between us. Fortunately for us, the bubbles looked amazing and this image is special because of them!
