About us

Follow your dreams...

Aloha and welcome to the world of Cesere Brothers Photography!

Our goal is for you to be amazed, excited, and inspired by our love and passion for the ocean. We hope that having a piece of our photography on your wall will help put a smile on your face each and every day.

We began our careers in the frigid tide pools on the coast of York Beach, Maine. In the summer months, we would bounce out of bed and race across the street to the rocky coastline where we would spend hours searching for sea creatures in the shallow tide pools.

Occasionally we would take a break to set up a lemonade stand or car wash to earn money for a new mask, snorkel, or set of fins. Still too young to become scuba divers, we taped bendy straws and 2-liter soda bottles to our backs to use as scuba tanks. We honed our skills at our favorite spot called the “deep hole.” This three-foot-deep tide pool is the spot where we, at ages 8 and 4, sat together and made a pact to someday work together, live on an island, and spend each day searching the world for amazing ocean critters just like Jacques Cousteau did.

Our passion for the ocean was apparent throughout our school years, producing hundreds of papers and projects about the ocean and the beautiful marine life we loved. It didn’t matter what was going on in our lives, we couldn’t shed our infatuation with the sea.

After graduating from college, we decided to pass on traditional careers and became scuba diving instructors and boat captains. In 2003, we bought one-way tickets to Maui, determined to create a successful career in the ocean. We spent the next 8 years working on a local dive boat, mastering our diving and photography skills. Our path began taking shape as we began capturing vibrant, unique and dynamic images that people couldn’t take their eyes off.

Cesere Brothers Photography was born! We travel the world searching for our next image doing exactly what we love and what we dreamt about as young kids. Which is why we often say and encourage everyone to - FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS! We are living proof that they can come true!

Float vs Euro Mount Explained

The vibrant look comes from ambient light reflecting off of the aluminum and the ink at the same time which results in the most luminescent art you will ever see. The images are so brilliant that people often ask if there are lights behind them! To top it off, the dye-infused aluminum process has unprecedented archival characteristics that will enable your piece to be radiant for the next 150 years.

Both of our aluminum mounting options have a modern feel and look "frame-less" from the front. There is no need for additional framing, they arrive in your hands, ready to hang.

Euro Mount: This option is frame-less when viewed from straight on but has a frame to edge on the back that is visible from the side that is about 1 1/2 inches thick. We use a double metal frame for added support. Default euro mount color is black but is available in silver as well. Please let us know if you would like the silver option. Euro mounts are usually recommended for larger images but they work well for all sizes. In our galleries, most pieces 12 x 18 and above are displayed with euro mounts.

Float Mount: This option looks like it is literally "floating" about a half inch off of the wall. There is a hanger on the back which you can use to hang the image with a nail or picture hanger. Float mounts are usually recommended for smaller sized images but can also work well for most sizes. At our galleries, most pieces 11x14 and smaller are shown with float mounts.

Both options look amazing, let us know if you have any questions. We would love to help!
