This image was captured at First Cathedral, one of our favorite dive sites in Hawaii. The site is actually on Lanai, just a 40 min boat ride across the channel from Maui. First Cathedral was formed from lava flowing into the ocean and quickly cooling which left behind holes, tunnels, and tubes for us to play in. At some point during the cooling process, a piece of the ceiling fell to the ground leaving a giant hole behind. On clear, bright, sunny days the sunlight comes blasting through the hole creating beautiful beams of light that dance around on the floor of the cavern. To make it even cooler, the piece of ceiling that sits on the floor actually looks like an altar when the sun rays illuminate it and various small holes in the back wall of the cave give the effect of stained glass windows, which really make this cavern look church like. Believe it or not, we've actually been underwater for a few weddings in First Cathedral; it is truly a magical place! "Cavernous Maximus"

The vibrant look comes from ambient light reflecting off of the aluminum and the ink at the same time which results in the most luminescent art you will ever see. The images are so brilliant that people often ask if there are lights behind them! To top it off, the dye-infused aluminum process has unprecedented archival characteristics that will enable your piece to be radiant for the next 150 years.
Both of our aluminum mounting options have a modern feel and look "frame-less" from the front. There is no need for additional framing, they arrive in your hands, ready to hang.
Euro Mount: This option is frame-less when viewed from straight on but has a frame to edge on the back that is visible from the side that is about 1 1/2 inches thick. We use a double metal frame for added support. Default euro mount color is black but is available in silver as well. Please let us know if you would like the silver option. Euro mounts are usually recommended for larger images but they work well for all sizes. In our galleries, most pieces 12 x 18 and above are displayed with euro mounts.
Float Mount: This option looks like it is literally "floating" about a half inch off of the wall. There is a hanger on the back which you can use to hang the image with a nail or picture hanger. Float mounts are usually recommended for smaller sized images but can also work well for most sizes. At our galleries, most pieces 11x14 and smaller are shown with float mounts.
Both options look amazing, let us know if you have any questions. We would love to help!
