Photographing Humpback whales is always an amazing experience, but anytime you can see something that is a little different from the norm it is always a plus. During this encounter, we spent a lot of time photographing the mom and calf and didn't realize that the male escort started getting restless. He began aggressively swimming close to us, trying to show us how large he was and then he began blowing bubbles in a straight line in front of us like he was trying to make a bubble wall between us. Fortunately for us, the bubbles looked amazing and this image is special because of them! "Family Bubble Bath Color" A portion of the profit from this sale will help fund whale research by the Keiki Kohola Project. This photo was taken under NMFS Permit #10018 & 895-1450 during research activities pursuant to this permit.

The vibrant look comes from ambient light reflecting off of the aluminum and the ink at the same time which results in the most luminescent art you will ever see. The images are so brilliant that people often ask if there are lights behind them! To top it off, the dye-infused aluminum process has unprecedented archival characteristics that will enable your piece to be radiant for the next 150 years.
Both of our aluminum mounting options have a modern feel and look "frame-less" from the front. There is no need for additional framing, they arrive in your hands, ready to hang.
Euro Mount: This option is frame-less when viewed from straight on but has a frame to edge on the back that is visible from the side that is about 1 1/2 inches thick. We use a double metal frame for added support. Default euro mount color is black but is available in silver as well. Please let us know if you would like the silver option. Euro mounts are usually recommended for larger images but they work well for all sizes. In our galleries, most pieces 12 x 18 and above are displayed with euro mounts.
Float Mount: This option looks like it is literally "floating" about a half inch off of the wall. There is a hanger on the back which you can use to hang the image with a nail or picture hanger. Float mounts are usually recommended for smaller sized images but can also work well for most sizes. At our galleries, most pieces 11x14 and smaller are shown with float mounts.
Both options look amazing, let us know if you have any questions. We would love to help!
