Manta Wave

This image of a Manta Ray was captured at a secret spot on Maui where these giant, graceful beauties come to get cleaned. These enormous rays come into the shallows and circle over certain patches of reef where cleaner fish live. The small fish come out and eat the dead scales and algae growing on the Manta. It's a beautiful act of symbiosis that gives us a rare opportunity to photograph these mysterious creatures.
